The Garbage Robots
In a barren, desolate solar system, there is a single planet orbiting a dying sun that supports no indigenous life. And, while even the simplest microbe vanished eons ago, the planet is chaotic with activity. For this planet is covered with machines, but not just toaster-ovens, can-openers, and dishwashers. These machines are sentient robots which have built a civilization, developed a culture, and forged a history. However, for all of that history, the knowledge of who created them, and for what purpose, is a mystery.
But, even in a world such as this a digital world of silicon and carbon fiber, it is no mystery that there are still those who have, and those who do not. But, here, those who do not, have not even a future. For even the in the immortal existence of the machine, there are those who are touched by mortality. These are the inferior class of "garbage" robots, who roll off of the assembly line with a fixed expiry date walking recyclable material for the next model generation.
For a brave, young robot named Rubble along with six other robots on their way to the spare parts bin "best before" wasnt good enough. So, together, they set off in search of the Garbage Robots Holy Grail: a mythical power source known only as the Infinite Battery.
The seven raced across the galaxy and against the clock on their quest for the one thing that could save them from the scrap heap. Finally, with their low-power lights on, the Garbage Robots found the planet where the object of their pursuit had laid hidden for millennia. But, just as they were in sight of the Infinite Battery, theirs went dead.
For years, seven figures stood frozen, reaching toward an unrequited hope, until Xenzor, a wise old robot master, appeared, resurrecting the Garbage Robots with the untapped power of the Infinite Battery.
Recharged and reborn, the Garbage Robots find themselves with no expiry date, and extraordinary new powers the limits to which they can only imagine. But, those limits will be put to the test as Xenzor sends them on a clandestine mission the purpose of which is known only to him
Hyperchild proudly introduces the world to the Garbage Robots!
